July 2005
I am Captain Joseph Galil I have been a captain in the Israeli
Navy, captain of large freighter ships and an army commander, currently I act as captain and engineer
aboard boats of various sizes which I maintain and look after, in addition to this I am an experienced
seaman of over 40 years, today I ply my trade in the Mediterranean Sea and occasionally around the
coasts of Britain.
I was asked if I had tried Militec-1 by a person whom I had
acted as yacht captain for in the 2004 season, I had not but was willing to try it after he had told me
of his experiences with it and its properties.
I first tried Militec-1 in a 50 foot Ocean Alexander motor yacht
which I am very familiar with, this particular boat has two 375 horsepower Caterpillar 3208
turbocharged diesel engines which consume 110 litres per hour, I chose this boat because it is regularly
used to travel the 30 nautical miles between
Toulon and La Croix Valmer so any differences or benefits would
have been easy to spot.. The first thing I noticed on putting Militec-1 into the engines was the rev rate
increase of 200 rpm , over the next few runs I noticed two other things, the
first was that there was less smoke from the engines, particularly from the starboard engine, the second was
that fuel usage had dropped by 14%, the boat used to consume 110 Litres per hour is now using 95
litres per hour.
Owing and running a large boat is an expensive hobby or way of
life for most people. So because of my results I am convinced that other boats owners should try
Militec for themselves. I feel that anything which reduces the total cost of boat ownership like Militec-1 is doing
is a good thing and something that boat owners everywhere should be made aware of.
Unless I am in the middle of the sea and out of mobile phone
coverage I can be reached at the number below, if I am not available please feel free to leave a message
- after you hear Ray Charles sing.
